2023 Dona Margarita Vineyard Pinot Noir
Delicate lavender and redwood bark aromatics blend seamlessly into tart cherry and cranberry flavors. Savory, saline and dense, it dances lightly in a larger frame.
100% Freestone-Occidental.
The Doña Margarita Vineyard is an authentic West Sonoma Coast postcard. On a steep,
south-facing hillside, it offers fantastic views of the coastal fog below, a wild and dense forest of redwoods and firs behind, and the tiny hamlet of Freestone beyond the valley in the distance. It represents, in more ways than one, the combination of natural beauty and ideal growing conditions of this region.
Sitting seven miles from the Pacific Ocean and over a valley open to the ingress of fog
from Bodega Bay, it offers a very cool microclimate. One that might not ripen Pinot Noir every year without the additional warmth it captures from its ideal sun exposure to the south.
