Wines
Spring 2025

2023 Plural Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Coast
A wine of feminine grace, silky tannins, and boundless aromatics. It leads with aromas of cocoa nibs, violets, and bay laurel. On the palate, it offers graphite mixed with earth and spiced herbs, with hints of green olive and brined walnuts.

2023 Richardson Ranch Pinot Noir, West Sonoma Coast
This wine transports me back to an era when old growth redwoods were abundant, understory aromas of wet conifers filled the air and wild herbs & spices were the only options. Its fruit flavors of blood orange, cinnamon, and sage are secondary, as if steeped together as coastal tea.

2023 Dona Margarita Vineyard Pinot Noir
Delicate lavender and redwood bark aromatics blend seamlessly into tart cherry and cranberry flavors. Savory, saline and dense, it dances lightly in a larger frame.
100% Freestone-Occidental.

2022 Holtermann Vineyard Pinot Noir
The 2.56-acre Holtermann Vineyard, located just north of Annapolis, CA (population 200) and five miles inland from the captivating Sea Ranch coastal community, is truly farming on the edge. Its proximity to the ocean moderates daily high temperatures and diurnal fluctuations, leading to consistent seasons and slow, balanced fruit development.
Blood orange peel and pomegranate pulp flavors are accented with hints of cedar, forest floor, mint, licorice and violets, and assembled with the purity and brightness of its high natural acidity.

2023 Stolo Syrah
The 4.2-acre Stolo Vineyard is organically, dry-farmed and lies just a stone’s throw from the ocean in Cambria. Two out of three mornings, it is covered in cool, ocean fog from the nearby Pacific. The temperature rarely reaches 80° F and harvest is in November, placing it at the very spear tip of cold-climate California viticulture. Farmed by sommelier turned avant-garde, farmer-winemaker Raj Parr, using the same regenerative and biodynamic practices developed at his adjacent sister property Phelan Farms.
A true cold-climate Syrah with aromas of black pepper, sage, juniper and subtle notes of olive tapenade. Bright and light-bodied, its fruit hints at elderberry and black raspberry that has been mixed with anise in a leather bota. An age-worthy marvel with only 12.0% alc.

2021 Campbell Ranch Chardonnay
Sitting six miles from the Pacific, just to the east of the Holtermann Vineyard, the Campbell Ranch Vineyard was originally planted exclusively to Pinot Noir. In 2008, our winemaker, Carroll Kemp, brought Old Wente cuttings from the Platt Vineyard that were selected specifically for the small size of their clusters and mineral flavor profile and grafted just 1.28 acres to Chardonnay, while inter-planting some additional vines to reduce the spacing to 8’ x 2.5’. The result has been mesmerizing.
A true and transparent expression of West Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, this 2021 bottling melds notes of mint, graphite and tangerine oil with white flowers and lemon confit, then delivers them to the palate enclosed in a puff of coastal salinity.

2023 Sparkling Rose of Pinot Noir
This year, we bring to you our fourth release, the 2023 vintage. It is an elegant approach that combines the traditional champagne method of producing sparkling wine with the wonderful summer pleasure of enjoying freshly pressed vin gris that was ripening on the vine just a short time ago. The result is an energetic sparkling wine that delivers a bright burst of honeysuckle and orange blossoms aromas followed by mouthwatering red grapefruit and tangerine flavors amongst a continuous bead of tiny bubbles.
